Roots & Stars is a new business founded by Ren Jones in February 2025. From her base in Stratford upon Avon, Ren provides Physiotherapy, Functional Breathwork & Lifestyle Coaching services. Whilst Ren has worked for herself in the past as well as working for the NHS for several years, Roots & Stars represents a new and exciting change of direction for her business.

Ren brings over 20 years’ experience as a physiotherapist and 6 years of professional coaching to Roots & Stars. She takes a holistic approach to wellness that transcends traditional boundaries, connecting mind, body, spirit and soul to help clients find a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. All Ren’s services and treatments are tailored to meet each client’s individual needs, and she brings in other professionals as appropriate to enhance the client experience.
Background
In the past, Ren has developed and managed her own websites, but found this took her focus away from her work as it was quite time-consuming. Whilst she did find it a helpful experience in gaining a deeper understanding of the business and where she wanted to take it, Ren decided it was time to outsource her website when she set up Roots & Stars.
“I came across the it’seeze Warwick & Redditch offer quite by chance,” says Ren. “I looked at other providers, too, but having spoken to Phil Revill, I felt it’seeze was the best fit for my business and requirements. I found Phil very approachable and appreciated his efforts to understand what I wanted from the website, balancing my expectations of creative approach and functionality.”
“I was adamant I didn’t want a template website,” adds Ren. “That’s one of the main reasons I decided to choose it’seeze Warwick & Redditch, as every site they design is unique with no templates ever used.”
Solution and Process
Ren already had a basic logo in place, which has since been replaced, along with emerging branding, using the colour palette presented to her with the completed website . Ren had input into the colour palette choices, providing ideas about what did and didn’t like. She also discussed her vision for the new website’s overall look and feel with Phil, so he was able to brief the it’seeze design team in detail. After that, it was over to them to create the new site.
The development process went smoothly on the whole, although there was a small hiccup over transferring Ren’s domain from the previous platform she was using. However, it was soon agreed that the best course of action was to create a completely new website and everything was resolved within a few days. “It was a learning curve for me, as I was a bit confused over the technicalities of transferring the domain,” says Ren. “But it all worked out well in the end, with just a few tweaks that I’d like to make going forward.”
The design team stayed true to Ren’s ideas, using her content, branding and colour palette to create a site that reflects the vision she discussed with Phil in the kick-off meeting. “It certainly doesn’t look like a template site (which it isn’t!),” comments Ren.
“And whilst there is some use of stock imagery on the site – albeit high quality – there’s also some beautiful nature photography, which reflects my philosophy of nature being our ally. A few photos of me adds a personal touch, as clients are essentially ‘buying me’ as well as my services.”
The Roots & Stars website was built using the it’seeze Plus package, a simple and cost-effective solution that includes five custom designed pages and a wealth of other useful features. The site also features integrated social media buttons linking to Ren’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Ren has already integrated Mailchimp into the website and has spoken with the it’seeze Helpdesk about how to use this to support her email list development going forward. There are various other third party integration options that could be added in the future, should Ren wish to do so.

Results
As a very recent launch, it’s still early days for the Roots & Stars website to produce tangible results for Ren. However, it’s already helping her gain additional traction on social media and she’s planning to start promoting the new site much more widely in the near future. She’s already seeing benefits in other ways as, with it’seeze hosting and managing the site, Ren is free to focus all her attention on her business.
“When I first started managing my own websites, I didn’t realise just how much work would be involved,” Ren comments. “It’s great not to have that burden hanging over me anymore, although Phil has shown me how to use the it’seeze Website Editor to make small changes to the site. For anything major, though, I’ll definitely be asking the it’seeze technical team to take care of it!”
Aside from the website itself, Phil has given Ren advice on completing her Google Business Profile to help with SEO and collect reviews from happy clients. He’s also introduced Ren to business networking – another new and valuable experience that will help her promote Roots & Stars to a wider audience.
